Policy draft
Foreground Location Verification Agreement
Draft for qualified California counsel review — not yet effective.
These drafts were prepared from the behaviour of this system and from public California sources. They are not legal advice, they have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and they cannot be made effective until a qualified reviewer approves them.
This wording governs nothing today. You are not being asked to agree to it, and no part of the service relies on it. Anything shown in square brackets is a business fact that has not been supplied yet.
What this is
This agreement covers location readings taken from your own device's browser while you work on an assignment for [not yet supplied: legal entity name].
One agreement, not a stream of prompts
You accept this once, after your email is verified and before your account is activated. You are not asked again for each assignment, each sign-in, each device, each session or each time you switch location verification on or off. You are asked again only if this wording is materially revised, if you withdraw your agreement, or if your agreement is revoked.
What is recorded
While an assignment is active and your Field page is open and visible, your browser reports its position to us. We record the position, the accuracy the device reported, and the time.
When nothing is recorded
Nothing is recorded while the page is hidden or in the background, while the device is locked, while the browser suspends the page, while the device is offline, after browser permission is withdrawn, or when readings stop or fail our accuracy and freshness checks. Verification pauses immediately and an unverified gap is opened. Gaps are never filled in afterwards.
Your browser permission is separate
Accepting this agreement does not grant your browser permission. Your device asks you separately, and you can change that answer at any time in your browser settings.
Hourly and stay-on-location work
Work that is billed by the hour cannot start until location permission is granted and a first valid on-location reading is recorded. If verification stops, that fact is shown to you and privately notified to Dispatch. It is never treated as a statement that you stopped working.
What location evidence does not do
Location evidence does not decide whether you are paid, how much anyone is billed, whether an assignment is complete, whether service was legally accomplished, or whether an attempt succeeded. A person reviews the record and makes those decisions.
Switching verification off
Turning the preference off stops readings immediately, closes the current verified period and opens a gap. It is not a withdrawal of this agreement. Withdrawing the agreement is a separate action, and after withdrawing you would have to accept a new agreement before taking hourly work again.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your location records, ask for corrections, and ask for deletion, subject to records we must keep as evidence of work performed or under a legal hold. Questions go to [not yet supplied: privacy contact].
